#79. Judgment

When someone dies, does he/she faces judgment immediately and goes either heaven/hell? Or he /she have to wait until the second coming of Jesus where everyone is judged on judgment day before going to heaven/hell?

When a person dies, his/her destiny is sealed. He/She can’t undo his/her decisions or make new ones.
“Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,” (Hebrews 9:27)
When a person dies, his/her soul goes to Heaven or Hades. Those in Hades will await the final judgement. After judgement, they are cast into the lake of fire.
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15)

For those in heaven, will they be judged as well? Or their soul just goes to heaven for eternity? Why some day that everyone will be judged on judgment day?

Christians face the Bema Judgment; it is to determine the giving of rewards, not salvation. Non Christians will face the Great White Throne Judgment on Salvation.
